Multimedia Monotype with Linda Chappel

  • MERGE 302 North Bullard Street Silver City, New Mexico, 88061 United States (map)

Want to get started with monotype or learn to successfully combine various media using monotype? This engaging workshop will use monotype as the basis for layering and creating unique as well as editioned prints. We will start with basic additive and reductive monotype techniques and then develop these using a variety of techniques and media. We will introduce you to the use of stencils, masking, frottage, acrylic markers, water-soluble ink and graphite pencils. These techniques will layer colors and values to create results reflecting both the planning and the open experimental aspect of monotype printing.
